Hampton Court Palace
The Year 5 pupils were in awe as they travelled back to 16th Century England in their visit to Hampton Court Palace. The visit provided great enrichment, as well as the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the monarchs of the time. The pupils saw various fascinating paintings and were able to compare their own skills of drawing portraits of King Henry VIII from their own Art lessons. To give a better understanding of how vast the Palace is, the pupils explored different chambers and saw King Henry’s actual kitchen. They were able to make comparisons on how people lived during that period to present day. Overall, the trip was a huge success as they reinforced their learning of The Tudors whilst having a blast!
